Our navigation beginner or improver days are for those who want to develop their own skills in order to go out and safely enjoy the moorland and mountain environments in the UK. 

 

Our experienced instructors will be there to guide your learning, from understanding map scale, making simple navigation decisions through to taking bearings and measuring distance through pacings off footpaths to navigate through access land. There will also be a bit about what to do in an emergency and what to carry with you for a day in the mountains.

On these days, the distances are shorter but the focus is on getting the participants to be navigating us around, ready for when they want to head out themselves.
